APC’s Candidate Godwin Obaseki Wins Edo Governorship Election

Godwin Obaseki, the All Progressives Congress (APC) party candidate in the gubernatorial election in Edo State, has won the contest in the two-way race with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), winning most of the votes. This is according to sahara Reporters.

Pastor Ize-Iyamu of the PDP came second in the votes collated and announced by INEC.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, announcing collated results across the state, said APC won 13 of the state’s 18local government areas.

Three years validity for UTME

IF the bill for an Act to Amend the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Act and for Other Matters Connected Thereof, 2016 is passed into law by the Senate and given assent by President Muhammadu Buhari, the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will henceforth enjoy a validity period of three years as against its present one year.
